Dr. Michael Siegel

is a physician and researcher in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine. His research focuses on gun violence prevention in three areas: (1) effects of state firearm laws on firearm-related morbidity and mortality; (2) racial disparities in firearm violence and their causes; and (3) gun culture. Trained as a physician at the Yale University School of Medicine, Dr. Siegel completed an MPH at the University of California Berkeley and an epidemiology fellowship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.
